From standard acoustic drums to specialty Rock, Jazz and R&B kits, E-MU's Protean Drums X soundset delivers every last sample from E-MU's PX-7 Command Station. Protean Drums X provides you with over 500 presets that include everything from acoustic drum sounds to an assortment of acoustic and electronic percussion.

E-MU sound engineers meticulously sampled acoustic drum kits in professional studios to build a diverse collection of drum sounds that range from standard acoustic kits to specialized R&B, stadium rock, jazz and much more. Electronic drum samples and additional percussion instruments were added to round out the soundset, offering you every last drum sample of E-MU's popular PX-7 Command Station to cover every sonic eventuality.

You can expand your Proteus X with soundsets from some of E-MU's most popular sound modules, like the Mo'Phatt, Virtuoso 2000 and Planet Earth, as well as any CD-ROM from the Emulator X library. Proteus X also supports a host of other sound formats, including EOS, EIII, GigaSampler, Akai, HALion, EXS24, and SoundFont 2.1.

The Protean Drums X samples have all been optimized for E-MU's powerful filters, effects and synthesis architecture, giving you comprehensive hands-on control over all aspects of your sounds and performance from the moment you load your sounds.
